Local SEO, AEO and GEO for service businesses in Delhi NCR: a 90-day plan

By Administrator · 17 Sep 2026

If you run a service business in Ghaziabad or Noida — an installer, a clinic, a coaching institute, a contractor — your customers find you in three places: the Google map pack, the organic results, and increasingly the answer an AI assistant gives when someone asks "who does fire alarm installation in Ghaziabad?" Winning all three is not three separate jobs. It is one job done properly, in a sensible order. Here is the 90-day plan we run.

Days 1–15: foundations

1. Fix the facts

Your business name, address, phone number and service list must be identical everywhere: website footer, Google Business Profile, Justdial, IndiaMART, Facebook, LinkedIn, trade directories. AI assistants cross-check sources; inconsistencies make them hesitate to cite you. Pick one format for the address and use it everywhere.

2. Google Business Profile, properly

  • Primary category chosen carefully (e.g. "Security system installer", not "Electronics store").
  • Every service listed with a short description and, where sensible, a price range.
  • Service area set to the districts you actually cover.
  • Twenty or more real photos: team, vehicles, completed work, the office.
  • Opening hours accurate, including holidays.
  • Products/services and the Q&A section filled in — you can ask and answer your own common questions.

3. Technical check on the website

Mobile layout, page speed, HTTPS, sitemap submitted to Search Console, no broken links, one H1 per page, and a LocalBusiness schema block with your name, address, phone and opening hours.

Days 16–45: pages that answer questions

4. One page per service

Each service gets its own page — not a paragraph on a "Services" page. The page explains what you do, how the work runs, who it is for, the areas you serve, what affects the price, and a FAQ. Write it the way you would explain it to a customer on the phone. Six hundred to a thousand honest words beats two thousand padded ones.

5. Location pages, used with care

"CCTV installation in Noida" and "CCTV installation in Ghaziabad" are different searches, and a page for each is legitimate if each page says something true and specific: areas within the city you cover, local projects, local constraints (industrial estates, societies, schools). Generating hundreds of near-identical pages for every locality is the fastest way to get ignored by Google. Start with your five to ten most important cities or districts, make each one real, and grow from there.

6. FAQs with schema

Every service and location page gets three to six questions people actually ask, each with a direct one- or two-sentence answer followed by a short explanation. Mark them up with FAQ schema. This is the single most effective AEO step: it gives Google's AI overview and other assistants a clean, quotable answer with your name attached.

Days 46–75: authority and proof

7. Reviews, systematically

After every completed job, send a message with a direct link to your Google review page. Aim for a steady flow — a few a week — rather than a burst. Reply to every review, including the bad ones, briefly and politely. Reviews mention services and localities naturally ("installed cameras at our factory in Sahibabad"), which helps both maps and AI answers.

8. Citations and links

List the business on the directories that matter in your trade, on your suppliers' dealer-locator pages, in trade associations, and in local news where you have a genuine story. Ask clients whose websites you have built or whose systems you maintain for a mention. Quality over quantity; a handful of real links from relevant sites outperforms hundreds of directory spam links.

9. Content that your sales team would send

Two articles a month answering real questions: buying guides, checklists, cost comparisons, "what to expect" explainers. Each article should be the thing your salesperson would email a prospect. Link from each article to the relevant service page.

Days 76–90: measurement and iteration

10. Track enquiries, not rankings

Set up call tracking and form tracking so every enquiry is attributed to a source: maps, organic, ads, referral. Connect the website forms to a lead-management system where the status is updated as the deal progresses. At the end of 90 days you should be able to say "organic search produced 27 enquiries, 6 became customers" — that is the number that justifies the work.

11. Review what AI assistants say about you

Ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity the questions your customers ask. See whether you are named, what they say, and where the information comes from. If the answer is wrong or out of date, fix the source: usually your own website or your Google profile.

12. Decide what to do next

Which service pages get traffic but no enquiries (fix the page)? Which keywords you rank for on page two (strengthen the page and earn a link)? Which localities produce customers (add a location page)? Repeat the cycle.

What to expect

Google Business Profile changes often show in weeks. Organic rankings for competitive service keywords in NCR usually take three to six months of consistent work; the plan above gets the foundation right so that months four to six compound. Paid search can fill the gap in the meantime, but should land on the same well-built pages.

If you would rather have this done than do it, we run exactly this plan for service businesses across Delhi NCR, and we connect it to the lead management system we build into our clients' websites — so the report shows customers, not clicks.
